LONDON: Altaf Hussain, the chief of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), contacted Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-F (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, former Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Jamali and Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) Chairman Sahibzada Fazal Karim on telephone and discussed with them issues related to the changing political scenario in the country.
It was Hussain’s second telephonic contact with Fazl-ur-Rehman in less than a week.
According to reports, Hussain and Jamali agreed on calling an all parties conference (APC) to develop a national consensus on major issues facing the country.
In addition, he called SIC chief Sahibzada Fazal Karim and exchanged views on issues of mutual interests.
