FAISALABAD: A reporting team of SAMAA was subjected to torture after being kidnapped by an armed group of drug dealers here on Friday night.
Taking notice of the abduction, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif ordered the city's district police officer (DPO) to act against the suspects and rescue the SAMAA team without any delay.
Acting on instructions of CM Punjab, a police team headed by DPO rushed to the scene and managed to free the abducted staff of SAMAA after three hours of captivity.
