6.3 magnitude earthquake hits different areas of Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: A 6.3 magnitude earthquake hit different parts of the country early on Monday, including Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Peshawar, but there were no immediate reports of damages.
According to the US Geological Survey, the epicentre of the quake was 95 kilometres southwest of the Karakul area of Tajikistan.
The tremors were felt in Faisalabad, Mansehra, Swat, Buner, Fata, northern areas and Gilgit-Baltistan at 7:45am for at least 10 seconds. The depth of the quake was 89.6 kilometers.
Last week, a 7.2 magnitude earthquake jolted southwestern Pakistan including the cities of Karachi, Hyderabad, Quetta and Jaffarabad, but only minor damages were reported.
